MD Race Cars
MD Race Cars was established in 1989 by Marty Danko. Marty started his professional career
with Hurst Performance at the age of 19. He spent 18 years with Hurst, ending in the R&D department. He developed
the most innovative shifters available with his creativity and knowledge. His innovations are still in use today, like
the Hurst Quarter Stick. After leaving Hurst he went on to work for some of the most popular chassis builders in the
buisness. Using his race car building abilities, Marty decided to open his own chassis shop 20 years ago.
His great knowledge of fabricating, welding, and attention to detail greatly qualified him to begin his own chassis shop.
In 1992, he won best appearing car at the Summer Nationals at Englishtown Raceway Park and was featured in the 1994 June issue
of Super Stock Magazine with his beautiful 1937 Fiat. Today he is still living his childhood dream of building
top notch race cars and fabrication. Here at MD Race Cars customer satisfaction is our #1 goal. Whether you
need a small weld / repair job or are looking for a brand new car we can help you. Please give us a call for a qoute
on your next job no matter how big or small.
Marty has been drag racing since the early age of 17. He has
driven a wide range of cars and has a great knowledge of chassis and suspension set up. Marty built his 1937 Fiat in
1992 to race super comp with an injected big block chevy. After having several successful season's in super comp
he wanted to go faster. Marty can be seen at most nostalgia events and division 1 races in Top Dragster with his now
blown Fiat . Please stop by our pits and say hello.
